Our goal is to provide a secure, accessible and user-friendly platform for passengers and drivers. HopIn is being developed for launch in Sudan, beginning with Khartoum, Khartoum Bahri and Omdurman.

Face Data (Identity Verification) When identity verification is enabled, the app confirms, with your in-app consent, that the person using the driver account is the registered driver. A liveness check runs first. Images of your face and, on supported devices, depth data are processed entirely on your device. Depth data is never stored or transmitted and is discarded immediately when the check is complete. A selfie is then transmitted securely to Ondemand Apps OU, our data processor operating the app’s software platform, which compares it with your reference photograph using AWS Rekognition as a sub-processor. We keep face data only for as long as necessary and never indefinitely. The selfie is automatically deleted once verification is complete, or immediately after the verification session ends or is interrupted after image capture. Your reference photograph is retained only while your driver account remains active because it is required for future identity verification checks. It is deleted within 30 days after your driver account is closed. After each verification, only the verification result (pass or fail) and the date of the verification are retained. These records do not contain any face data. Face data is shared only with the two service providers named above and solely for the purpose of identity verification. AWS processes the images only temporarily during the verification request, does not retain the images after processing is complete, and does not use them to train or improve its services. Face data is never used for advertising, marketing, profiling, analytics, or any unrelated purpose, and it is never sold.
